TCU (Telematics) Delete for Jaguar and Land Rover

We’re announcing that now we’re able to make a TCU (Telematics) delete on both Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.

Top reasons to do it:

Faulty battery in a TCU module, that causes a message on a dash. Battery replacement costs some (original batteries are expensive), requires a TCU disassembly and just not worth it if a TCU is a 3G one (there’s no 3G networks anymore in a lot of countries). To get rid of a message we can apply a CCF patch and the message would disappear, however TCU still remains connected and still plays its role as a part of immobilization ring.

Faulty TCU itself. This leads to a condition where you’re unable to start a vehicle and we’re seeing this quite often now - the modules just fail. Options are:

  • New TCU module - expensive
  • Used TCU module - it would work, but who knows for how long?
  • Complete disable of a TCU

We’re now offering a complete TCU disable - pure software job, done over OBD. Includes a patch to a CCF and special immobilization flow. Once done - TCU might be disconnected and the vehicle would start and behave just fine.
